Decision making: Do you listen to your guts or to your data?

On one side, some swear by "numbers never lie".

On the other, some argue that "intuition can't be explained, it’s just felt".

So, who's right? Spoiler alert: both!

→ Data is the compass. It gives you facts, trends, and concrete insights.

→ Intuition is the captain. It puts things into perspective, makes decisions when numbers fall short, and catches what data doesn’t always reveal.

Example:

- The data says 80% of customers prefer fast delivery.

- The marketer's intuition senses that the real issue isn’t speed but flexibility.

- The winning strategy? Offering multiple delivery options instead of just “faster”.

Ignoring either one is risky:

❌ Rely only on data? You might miss weak signals.

❌ Go purely with intuition? You’re making decisions without validation.

✅ Use both? You turn analysis into impactful action.

So, what’s your approach: data-driven or intuition-driven?

Curious to see how this applies to your business…
